My students are amazing! They come from varied backgrounds with individual characteristics that make my job both trying at times and rewarding on a daily basis. I teach at a school with a high ESOL population and almost 70% of our demographic are on free and reduced price lunch. Life experience and exposure to enriching life events is lacking for most of my students. My kids are eager to learn and devour whatever resources I find for them. I know the high interest stories from Junior Scholastic would benefit and enrich their lives.
