My students are in the sixth-grade. They are extremely eager to learn about Social Studies. In my class, we cover, the earliest signs of civilization in Mesopotamia, through the Renaissance. My students enjoy real-world connections and experiencing archaeological sites first hand. My school is in a rural town in Louisiana. Many students have not been farther than Houston, Texas. It is my goal to broaden the students horizons, and push them to the limit. I have begun a program which takes students outside of Louisiana, and some students even get to go out of the country. They get to experience the cultures that they have learned about in sixth-grade. I encourage students to pursue all of their dreams and look at the world with an open mind. I want to equip all of my students with the tools to achieve their greatest dreams.
