My students are in first grade at a Title 1 school in Oklahoma. This means many of our students are underprivileged and qualify for free or reduced lunch. Studies reveal that students in this circumstance often perform lower on test scores without extra intervention. As a Title 1 school, we are required by law to hold school wide reading programs and incentives. Reading is of upmost importance and our expectations are set very high. We believe in our students and that every student can achieve success. Our teachers and staff and community are amazing and I am so honored to be a part of my school. I want to keep trying to find resources to make education for these children even better. I am so thankful for Donors Choose and and the huge difference being made daily in the classrooms around the country. In advance, I thank you for any support you might give for these children now and in the future.
