The students I serve are students in grades 3-5 and they attend a school in Texas where at least 90% of the student body is socioeconomically disadvantaged. All my students have been identified to have one or more learning disability. Some students have learning disabilities in math and/or reading. Other students are also Speech Impaired or Emotionally Disturbed. I teach students that learn differently, some are visual and others are kinesthetic/hands-on learners. In order to learn a concept my students need to create, manipulate, construct, and draw in the classroom. Most of them are hardworking, respectful students who face challenges everyday at home and school. They need all the help you could provide.
