112 eighth graders vs. 1 American History teacher. Everyday I tackle the language arts and historical inquiry needs of the eighth graders at our charter school. Though many may shake with fear at this thought, I love it. My kids are inspired and insightful and it is truly a joy to spend my days with them. Our school is located in a high-need area of California, where many of our students do not have the resources at home that so many of us have always taken for granted.
