The twenty-six fabulous fifth graders in my class attend school in a high poverty area in the inner city. 95% of the more than 600 students in the school receive free lunch. The students in my class are enthusiastic learners who strive to attend school every day. Many are English Language Learners who work diligently to learn from and share their culture with their classmates. My classroom is a warm and welcoming environment, and my students work hard to maintain that positive environment for learning. They are kind, caring and compassionate and would benefit from access to resources and materials to build on and maintain or improve their enthusiasm for learning.

About my class
