I am fortunate to teach special education in my local community schools. I work between two schools that are 8 miles apart. My home school has pre-K through 2nd grade, third grade through 6 grade go to the other school. The two schools share one principal, who tries to spend equal time between the schools. Since it is a small community school, special education has diverse students with very different needs. Some students only need some support to be successful in the classroom, while others need support in and out of the classroom.
