My city, my district, and my school families are economically disadvantaged. 100% of the students enrolled are eligible for and receive the free lunch program. My school is bi-lingual with more than 75% of my students learning English as a second language. Representing over 30 different countries, our student population faces language barriers, economic challenges, and culture shock. But they are strong, vibrant, energetic children full of life and eager to learn. Because our population is also transient, my students come with diverse experiences and levels of understanding.
