I just moved up from 2nd grade to 3rd grade with my students and I love teaching ELAR! Last year our principal helped move us from mostly whole group teaching to a balanced literacy, learning centers model. It has been great for the kids, they are really loving reading, comprehension and working on spelling. I wrote a grant last year to receive iPads for our classroom and we got it! The only problem is we do not have headphones to use them to their fullest potential. We need them so that we are not distracting other students in our classroom who are reading.
