My students face a multitude of internal and external obstacles which prevent them from interacting with diversity around them. Roosevelt's Night School program provides opportunities to students to repeat courses they did not complete for various reasons in the traditional day school model. These students attend school during the day for a full seven hours then stay four hours in the evening in order to earn the credits they need to graduate. They sacrifice spending time with their friends and family (often times their own children.) Their determination to graduate is inspirational as they are often our students who face the biggest challenges.
