My students come from an urban high-poverty community where most are English-Language Learners and receive free lunch. Third grade is a benchmark year, which means a lot of new material is introduced and the foundational skills are embedded. Hence, there will be a lot of textbooks, notebooks, and resources to help them prepare for the state and district mandated assessments.
