My students live in a very low income area and face many challenges that most children do not. In our school population, 100% of students receive free or reduced price lunch and they all receive free breakfast. In spite of the challenges they face, the students come to school every day eager to learn. Our school is listed as a Priority School in Oregon. We have the task of creating an environment that fosters a love of reading and education to excite the students of this community to learn and reach their academic potential. Our school is committed to closing the achievement gap and holds a strong belief that every student can learn.
