My students are a mixed socio-economic group of voracious 7th and 8th grade readers! They attend a literature, writing, and recently, technology magnet school in an urban setting. They are exposed to hundreds of novels a day in their environment and are encouraged to celebrate their learning together. They discuss literature in depth, constructively critique writing pieces, and use technology to compliment their inquiry-based learning styles. They ask meaningful questions, we guide them to find thoughtful answers!
