Our classroom is a 3/4 combo of 33 students. They are highly energetic, excited about learning, and are learning to love reading and writing. We are creating a reading and writing community in our classroom, but as a brand new teacher, I have limited funds to supply them with all they need. Our school is in a low socioeconomic neighborhood where students have very limited access to supplies outside of the classroom. Many of my students have no books at home and come to class looking for a good book to read.
