My class is an academically and ethnically diverse group of 34 fourth grade students. Ninety-seven percent of my students have a primary language other than English. Eighty percent of those students are limited in their English proficiency. Over 90% of my class participates in the free meal programs. Additionally, several of my students need additional support and multiple modalities to support their learning. Technology helps support my instruction, as it is a tool that they all need to become college and career ready.
