Last summer I moved down from PA and spent so much money out of my own pocket. This upcoming 2014-2015 school year, I will be teaching 4th grade (reading and writing) at Wimauma Elementary. This school includes students that come from very low-income families, with a large majority getting free or reduced lunch. This school is also Title I and in a rural (migrant) area, where Spanish is the primary language spoken. Many students cannot afford to purchase their school supplies. This past year I went out and bought a majority of my students' supplies, because I wanted them to be successful. I would like to be prepared for this upcoming year and ask for supplies to start the school year off right, because I know my students deserve it!
