What time do you get up in the morning? Well, many of my five-year-old students have to get up at 5:30am every morning in order to rider the bus for over and hour to get to school on time. I teach kindergarten in New Mexico, and most of my students live on the Navajo Reservation and take the bus into town to come to school each day. Our school has 95% of students on a free or reduced lunch program due to the level of poverty in the surrounding community and on the reservation.
