My school is an open enrollment charter school and one that is making huge strides in improving the education system here in New Orleans. We believe that all children can learn and our motto is, "Dream it. Do it. Be it." My class is part of a state program for low income children. We have a rigorous program and yet we still utilize free choice centers and developmentally appropriate materials. My little scholars learn by play. My 20 scholars consist of 18 African Americans and 2 Hispanic English language learners.
