My kindergarten students attend a Baltimore, MD public school. The school is located in a neighborhood facing many issues of poverty that come with hard economic times. All of my students live in impoverished neighborhoods within Baltimore and deal with the issues of poverty on a daily basis. Our school, the one place in which they are given the opportunity to grow, lost its charter along with ALOT of funds to pay for many things for the 2013-14 school year. My students love to learn through music, games and videos. All of these resources could be brought to them through the use of these tablets, especially during center time. Their education will thrive and soar to new heights through the use of tablets. When they get the chance to use the one computer in the classroom they get VERY excited and become interested in learning new skills. They become excited about school and academics!
