Many of my students have an incomplete mastery of number facts, a requirement in the earliest of grades and an essential skill in approaching more advanced mathematical thinking. For a few, this is due to incomplete elementary schooling; however, most of my students have computational weaknesses which tend to bog them down with simple calculations and prohibit them from properly progressing through the algebraic processes demanded in Algebra Preparation courses.
