I teach sixth grade literature in a extremely low-income area. The majority of my 110 students are Native American and ride the bus for hours daily from their homes on the nearby reservations. 95% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and about one third of my students are English Language Learners. While I consider all my students to be talented, I additionally work with a class of gifted students.
