My students are a diverse group of individuals (80% minority) in an urban school district who attend a caring and creative elementary school one block away from a major research university. 97% percent of our students are on free or reduced price lunch. Ironically, a college education is literally steps away from these children as they attend school each day. A nationally acclaimed Performing Arts High School is just down the street. Opportunity surrounds these children, and their school is committed to helping them unlock those opportunities and grow as students and individuals as a result.
