I am a proud teacher of 22 angelic 1st grade girls in Ward 8 of the District of Columbia! At Excel Academy, we loving refer to our students as scholars. Many of my scholars have come to 1st grade performing below grade level and are working hard to make the gains needed to be on level. Our school places an enormous emphasis on attending college and striving toward that ambitious goal early on. Each class adapts a university or college and our class is known as The University of Miami around campus.
