I teach 6th grade Social Studies. My students want hands-on experiences to help the past come alive. My goal is create meaningful experiences to help them understand how the past will meet the present and influence the future. The only way to do that is to get them invested in what they are learning. We mummify chickens to understand the mummification process. We create our own archaeological dig and make our own artifacts with a 3D printer. We look at success and failures of past civilizations and how they could/would apply to today.

About my class
