The longer I am in education the more I realize that we need to personalize the learning experiences of our students if we are to close the achievement gap. Blended learning is a great first step but does not speak to the individual needs of our students. I am working on creating a personalized learning experience for my students where they have control over their learning and the learning is what they need. Technology will be a huge lever as I transition my teaching to this model. After 20 years as a teacher, I am excited about the prospect of where education is going, especially for our most vulnerable students, those in the so-called sub groups.
