My students will be starting 2nd grade this year and are in a extremely high poverty, low income area of Michigan. They attend a school which is a member of the Educational Achievement Authority (EAA), which is a state mandated program for the lowest performing schools in the state. I know that they will be highly intelligent, full of energy, and ready to learn.
