The students come from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, race, gender, learning styles and ability levels. They are curious and eager to use technology to learn about the world around them. Most of our seventh grade students have access to some technology in the home, but not all. They need to learn to use technology daily as a tool for research, data collection and analysis, and the means to communicate with other scientists.
