Our class is a very energetic group of third graders. Our class is filled with children from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and socioeconomic levels which reflects the diverse area our school is located in. Inside our four walls, we accept all and it shows in our behavior. We are good kids, but filled with a need to move. We rock, we roll, sometimes we play rock & roll music, but it just isn't enough. Every day, we take a calming break to do meditation in order to center our mind and clear our thoughts. We practice yoga and balancing activities. We still have energy. We play games, we dance to learn math facts, and jump to our spelling words, but we still have energy. Perhaps it is a reflection of the teacher who can't sit still himself, but it sure is a fun class.
