My school and kids are located in Washington State. We are so lucky to live in such a naturally beautiful place. We are a K-5 school. So I have my kids for their last year before they head off for middle school. I have a teaching partner and between the two of us we have around 50 students. Our school has a high ELL population. Our school boundary lines incorporate low income apartments and some housing neighborhoods. This means that we get a variety of students from different (economical and cultural) backgrounds. Its our job to make the learning accessible for all our students regardless of their background. This takes creativity, ingenuity, and community support. We work hard (as do our kids) to really work on the depth of our learning. Thank you for caring about my kids.
