My students come from low-income homes to comprise a 98% free and reduced price lunch student population. Most students do NOT read on grade-level. Likewise, their vocabularies are significantly limited. However, my students are incredibly invested in improving their lives. They have dreams of becoming doctors, lawyers, and social workers. The students can't wait to get to college to change their futures. Reading is the key to getting them where they need to be.

About my class
