My students are the most loving and brilliant kids you could ever hope to meet. They are living in poverty everyday, and almost every student at my school receives free breakfast and lunch. Just because my students are located in an area of poverty does not mean they should not have brand new books to read! Many of the fourth grade teachers must share materials because there is not enough to go around. My students love reading so much that they cannot put a book down once they have started reading. It is difficult to get them to even focus on math or science because they would rather be reading.
