My students are 8th graders in a socially and economically mixed school. We have students who live in million dollar homes and those who are in between homes. Having a digital classroom will create an equal learning field. Student are less likely to stay involved with the traditional paper and pencil activities. Some students don't have the opportunity to work on school when they get home or education isn't as important in their home as other activities. I've created customized materials for my classes. This individualization and personalization of the curriculum enables me to work to the strengths and weaknesses of my students and provide a more customized approach to curricular development and delivery than is possible with a "one-size-fits-all" textbook driving the curriculum. Also, using technology prepares students for real world experiences.
