The materials requested will be used in the reading stations in conjunction with the Reading Workshop, which currently don't exist. It is my goal to provide hands-on-materials for the students in my classroom to increase academic gains among my students in reading but also to set or re-set a mind set among my grade level team members that when materials are provided and used with traditional methods learning gaps being to narrow and students begin to become excited and empowered to take ownership of their learning. As a results, teachers can then become facilitators within there classrooms and watch learning blossom!
