We are a public school with very limited funding. Ninety percent of our students qualify for free and reduced price lunch, and many have faced more hardships at age 6 than some people will face in a lifetime. Giving my students the opportunity to study the core academic subjects in a space that promotes community and collaboration will not only enhance their learning, they will strengthen their social skills and ability to work on a team.
