400 at-risk students from low socio-economic families are going to walk through our doors soon. Our school is a charter school which allows us to be innovative in our approach to education. We are promising our students and parents that each and every student will go to college and become successful individuals. This, however, is unusual for a school where 90% of our students are on free and reduced lunch. We do this by having an extended school day that allows our students to spend over 400 more hours in the classroom. Our students are dedicated, hard-working, and soaring high above their peers in their state. As we add a new grade level this year, we hope to continue the success that our students so strongly crave everyday in the classroom.
