My school is an innovation school in Denver, Colorado. My students come from various backgrounds from countries all over the world! We also have many students who choice into our school because of the mission. The mission of the school is to educate the whole child in a way that teaches them how to be sustainable in our world. We have wonderful programs like a farm to cafeteria program, where the students grow and harvest vegetables that they bring into our cafeteria. TRUTH, I have never seen kids eat raw vegetables like they do, such ownership! My students are interested in animals, and adventures, and history. They ask so many questions about the world. They are the most fun, outgoing, kind, and smart learners (does every teacher say this?). Our classroom becomes a place of comfort not only for them but me. We laugh together, ALOT, and truly consider our classroom a family.
