Cookbook labs are going extinct and we need people like you to help us adapt to the new world! My students mostly come from impoverished inner-city homes in the Grand Rapids area. They love science and have a huge drive to learn about the world around them, especially when it comes to phenomena affecting their own lives. Each day my students and I work hard to get them comfortable in the driver's seat and ultimately I know they can become their own teachers. To support them in this effort, I rely on DonorsChoose to help us raise money for tech-based tools that can translate intangible ideas and processes into data students can see and experience.
