High school students share fairly well, but they learn a lot more when they have enough supplies to get engaged in their learning. Students will use the trauma bags to carry equipment during clinicals, ride-alongs, and simulated events. Penlights will be used to check pupil responses and neurological deficits during classroom and real world training by students learning to be Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) and Certified Medical Administrative Assistants (CMAA). During the school year, these students learn about Emergency Medical Services, Fire Fighters, Police, hazardous materials, patient treatment, health and wellness, first aid, CPR, and they earn the American Heart Association's Basic Life Support card. Those students passing practical skills and National Tests exit the class as EMR's and CMAA's. Many students continue their education and become Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Firefighters, Police Officers, Nurses, and Doctors.
