We need a class set of dictionaries and thesaurus' to help find new words while writing. With a class set of up to date dictionaries and thesaurus' my students will be able to use these resources to make their writing come alive. In the fifth grade, writing becomes a favorite pastime, and I always encourage them to use these resources to be more creative, and to make their words come alive. We need a class set, so that everyone can work at the same time, and not have to wait on someone else to finish first. My students will not only be able to make their writing come alive, but they will also learn skills that will help them to succeed in the next grade level, and in life. Being able to use a dictionary will not only help my students learn meanings of words, but will also help them with spelling and pronunciation. The thesaurus will help their communication by being able to use different words rather than the same on
