What do you read more of- fiction or non-fiction? I'm sure that in the course of a day most adults read a lot more non-fiction that they read fiction. A lot of the third graders in my class prefer to read non-fiction and that is a skill that they are going to need in the adult world. My third grade students love to check out TIME Magazine for Kids from the library, but there are never enough to go around. Our school is in a high-need community and many of the students don't have books or magazines of their own to read.
