Hello! My name is Brittany Melton and I am a 1st grade teacher at South Side Elementary in Johnson City Tennessee. South Side school is located in the beautiful Northeast Tennessee area, in heart of the historic Tree Streets community. Our school takes pride in teaching the love of learning to our students! Yet, we are not fortunate enough to have very many resources to explore our learning like we would like to. We are a Title One school, where we have a very diverse population. More than half of our students are from low-income households. Teaching 1st grade students is my passion and I want to change the lives of these children, so that they have bright futures. We learn in many ways in 1st grade and are very hands on! Therefore, I appreciate any donation to my classroom that would help make our learning more meaningful in a grade that loves to explore to help us learn! Thank you in advance!
