My first graders really enjoy playing games! Having fun is important for them to learn. I believe these literacy center games and activities will allow my students to work independently and with their classmates to build confidence in their reading and language skills while having fun. First graders are at the age where they are developing their independence in learning. By allowing them to get in groups or centers, it will benefit them by being able to work together by using hands-on materials to build fluency and confidence in their reading skills.
