I have been lucky enough to be the full-time General/Vocal Music Specialist in my elementary school for 18 years. My school is located in the heart of an urban school district where many of my students have challenges outside of the school building. Being a Music Specialist means that I get to teach 24 classes of students each week, approximately 500 students. Our school is a magnet school which focuses on Science and Technology. I am constantly looking for exciting, creative and fun ways to engage my students in the learning process.
