I work in one of the only charter school libraries in Memphis. Our library is colorful, leveled to meet student needs, and consistently a safe place for students to read and meet. My students come from some of the poorest neighborhoods in the country, living in a system that does not grant them the education and opportunities they deserve. Thus, they need our communities' support and care, whether its getting them books, taking them to tour college campuses, or exploring the world around them.

About my class
