These amazing eight and nine year olds put a smile on my face everyday. They are tough, witty, quiet, caring, respectful, and above all else...sponges soaking up the learning around them. They come from all different backgrounds, homeless situations, and even some high poverty homes. Our school is located in a good neighborhood and is very culturally diverse. Families move into the neighborhood just to get their child into our school. These children work hard daily to make learning gains. I hope I can play a part in molding them to be successful citizens. Our school is working on preparing students for life. I tell myself daily... I am making a difference and these kids are going to do something with their lives.
