There is truly no one way to describe my students. These young scholars envision themselves as doctors, artists, architects, chefs, soldiers, and lawyers. As learners, they possess many different skill levels. As peers, they often demonstrate a collaborative spirit. As young people, they exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and a drive for independence. Invariably, they take pride in their diverse accomplishments and are passionate about their loved ones. Many of them will go on to be the first in their families to attend four-year universities. Some will be the first to graduate high school. No matter their goals, skill set, or traits, all possess a strong desire to succeed academically.
