My ELL/ESOL reading classroom is once again, in dire need of new material to read. Our book centers and library are very limited and most of the students have already checked in and out (multiple times) the books we have. We need a library set of nonfiction books to add to our small but growing inventory, my 2nd through 5th-grade reading students can not only improve their literacy skills- but also open the doors of their imagination. Because of the growth in enthusiasm and love of ready, I need to furnish our school's classrooms to fill the needs of my students and nourish their desire to read. Multiple studies have shown that imagining stories helps activate the regions of your brain responsible for better understanding others and seeing the world from a new perspective. Your support for this library project will enhance the learning environment for our English Language Learners.
