Feeling Comfortable on a Classroom Rug Can you imagine coming into a classroom and not seeing any carpet? Or students only being able to stay in their desk all day long? A rug makes a place where everyone is joining together on the same learning team and keeps their attention. I teach 1st grade at a Title 1 elementary school. My students are sweet and love to discuss the different things that they are learning about and make those real world connections. I would love for the students to have an area that they can come to, discuss, learn, and play at.
