Our school is located in Southern Missouri in the 17th poorest Congressional District of the United States. Our tax levy is set at the state mandated minimum of $2.75. We stretch each dollar as far as possible which is why your support in this project is so appreciated! Music opens a whole new world to kids! One of my favorite anonymous quotes is, "Music is the Universal Language: It can express every emotion, without the use of words." Music is a vehicle for us to explore the deepest thoughts and feeling of our soul. Research continues to prove how important music is to the development of the human brain. Specifically in creating pathways in the brain used for reading and math. Students who play a musical instrument consistently perform higher on standardized tests. Music is everywhere, in everyone, filling our hearts, lifting our spirits AND making us smarter!
