I am requesting markers, chart paper, notebooks, math manipulative and more which will enable my students to take learning into their own hands and work collaboratively with their peers. These items help extend learning beyond the normal workbook. My hope is to see my students more invested in their learning of math and less frightened at the complexity of it. Students will also be able to use these tools to explore and try out math concepts in person with a group or at home virtually. This will help them to learn from one another and find their own mistakes. Students love writing on whiteboards and prefer this method in order to receive instant feedback.
